About – Caring Hands for Elders

Caring Hands for Elders was founded in late 2009 in the town of Kumba, located in the Meme Division of the South West Region of Cameroon. The initiative began as a grassroots effort to address the growing need for elder care in local communities where many seniors were living in neglect and isolation.

The Visionary Behind the Movement

At the heart of this mission is Aloysius Ombale Meloko, a compassionate leader whose deep concern for the well-being of elders inspired the creation of Caring Hands for Elders. Growing up, Aloysius witnessed the struggles of aging individuals and was moved by their silent cries for support. His response was not just empathy but action.

Our Ongoing Mission

As we continue to grow, our focus remains clear: to be a beacon of hope and humanity for the elderly, wherever they may be. With each hand we hold and every life we touch, we honor the legacy of our elders and reaffirm their place in our global family

Why It Matters

Aging can be a time of great vulnerability, especially for those without strong family or financial support. Many elders face isolation, illness, and neglect. Caring Hands for Elders exists to change that. We bring hope, joy, and stability into the lives of those who built our communities—reminding them they are not alone and never forgotten.
